About

Following a successful career in advertising, Astrid started her journey in complementary therapies in 1997. She began by studying the physical body, receiving her Diploma in Holistic Aromatherapy from the Tisserand Institute in London in 1999. Around the same time, Astrid became fascinated by the subtle energies of the body, which led her to explore various healing modalities such as Energy Healing, Reiki and Bach Flower Remedies, however, she still felt that something was missing.

It wasn’t until she discovered the Universal Art called Jin Shin Jyutsu®, that her search was over, as this gentle, hands-on therapy resonated with her on a very profound level, and decided to follow that path. At this time, she suffered from debilitating migraines, and was amazed that with some Jin Shin Jyutsu® self-help exercises, she was not only able to manage the migraines, but eventually clear them. She became a fully trained Jin Shin Jyutsu® Practitioner in 2000 and has been teaching the self-help classes since 2001.

Over the years, Astrid attended many Jin Shin Jyutsu® seminars and advanced classes and has clocked up tens of thousands of hours in the study, practice and teaching of Jin Shin Jyutsu. Her study and practice continue, and as her awareness deepens, her love of this Art grows.

Since the first lockdown in 2020, Astrid has been offering online sessions and self-help courses, and discovered that Jin Shin Jyutsu works very well online! She has delivered 100s of sessions and several online courses, teaching and helping people from all over the world.

Astrid lives in Wiltshire, England, and loves sharing this Art with others, empowering them to live a happier, healthier and longer life! On her website she shares many self-help exercises for a wide range of everyday symptoms and ailments.

Astrid holds following qualifications: BSc, TIDHA, MFHT
