About

Julia studied a BSc(Hons) Sport and Exercise Science degree at the University of Hertfordshire.

After obtaining her Honours degree, she worked in pre-diabetes care for the NHS at the Islington and Camden Clinical Commissioning Governance, working across all practices. Julia's passion for public health encouraged her to return to South Africa to study Biokinetics, BSc(Med)(Hons) at the University of Cape Town.

Upon completing her Biokinetics degree, Julia started her internship with Tiaan Campher Biokinetics in the Western Cape, and in January 2022 Julia opened her own practice at Bishops Diocesan College, an independent boys’ school in Cape Town.

Julia's career has seen her treat patients with varying health issues ranging from neurological to orthopaedic rehabilitation.

There is no one field that she enjoys more than the other. The enjoyment comes from seeing patients adapt and improve their health with the correct dosage of exercise.

Julia is a keen runner, and has run the London, Wales, Edinburgh and Soweto Marathons, and continues her training to add more marathons to her accolades.
