About

Fleur is a registered functional nutritionist and a psychoneuroimmunology clinician. She runs her clinics from 'Bodies Under Construction' Putney (SW15 6TQ) and Chiswick (W4 2SX). She has a BSc in Nutritional Medicine from the University of West London and a Post Graduate Diploma in clinical Psychoneuroimmunology from Birkbeck University of London.

Fleur is also a health writer and author of 'The In-Sync Diet' and director of The In-Sync Diet Ltd (www.theinsyncdiet.com).

Fleur’s focus is on reducing chronic low-grade inflammation produced as a result of a number of stress factors. She explains “chronic low-grade inflammation is an underlying factor in most chronic diseases and has a huge impact on our energy levels and our ability to heal and repair and generally feel well again. It can go on for many years with people generally feeling unwell and low in energy.”

She has extensive experience in the fields of autoimmune disease, gluten intolerance, fibromyalgia and viral and bacterial infections. She views her approach as part preventative, part regenerative medicine with a strong focus on the need to recognise pathways to disease. Fleur places considerable emphasis on healthy weight management.

Fleur has helped many clients achieve a healthy body composition using an evolutionary biology approach that can be found in her online programme and book 'The In-Sync Diet'.

She promotes metabolic flexibility, which means the body is able to produce energy according to need. Integral to this approach is being able to burn fat. A successful fat burn programme will increase energy levels, widen the spectrum of immune cells and support psychological health too. Boosting immune health through this process is key. Her interventions are aimed at supporting both mental and physical health with the immune system at the fore through the following: Food as medicine, Exercise as medicine, Psycho-social techniques, Stress reduction.

Currently Fleur is also studying for a post graduate diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has appeared on TV and radio and regularly speaks at literary events. She enjoys keeping fit, in particular running, cycling, hiking and yoga. She loves to cook, and her three teenage children keep her very busy!

Fleur holds the following qualifications: BSc Nut Med, BA Hons, MBANT, NTCC Psycho-Neuro-Immunology clinician
